Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kris Polden!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Polden forces Durant back against the cage and clinches.
A hook to the body from Polden.
Durant misses with some punches.
Polden misses with a body punch.
Durant misses with a hook from the clinch.
Durant takes an elbow to the forehead.
Polden misses with a body punch.
Durant tries to pull guard but Polden forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Polden prevents the takedown attempt.
Polden lands an elbow inside.
Polden can't break the clinch.
Durant takes a shot to the head.
Durant goes for a takedown attempt but Polden pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miles Durant. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Polden closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Polden misses with a hook to the ribs.

Durant is trying to pull guard but Polden has him pressed against the cage.
Durant throws a head punch that misses.
Polden tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Durant's elbow.
Polden throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Durants head.
Polden lands a nice elbow.
Durant misses with a punch on the inside.

Polden escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kris Polden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Polden thuds a left hand into Durant's body.

Polden moves into the clinch.
Polden lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Polden lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Polden goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Polden wants to break the clinch but can't.

Polden manages to break the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A lazy left from Polden finds it's target.

Polden lands with a nice combination. Durant backs away looking to recover.
Polden scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A jab from Durant misses.
Polden fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Durant is breathing heavily.
Durant rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Polden connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Durant gets tackled into the cage by Polden. Polden maintains the clinch.
Durant prevents a body shot from Polden.
Polden should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Polden lands a body shot in the clinch.
Polden misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Durant has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Polden is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Polden.
A nice right hand lands inside from Polden.
Polden throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Polden breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Polden has closed the distance and engaged Durant in a clinch.
Polden lands a shoulder strike.

Polden breaks from the clinch.
Polden looks to land a combination. Durant sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Polden moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Polden has taken the fight to the clinch.
Durant takes an elbow to the forehead.

Polden breaks the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Polden clinches.
Durant takes an elbow to the temple.
Polden tries to throw a body punch but Durant avoids it by throwing Polden back against the cage.
Polden lands an elbow just above Durant 's eye.

Polden breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Polden moves into the clinch.
A short left from Durant.
Polden lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Durant or not.

Polden breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Polden throws a right and a left that both miss.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Durant has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Durant there as he acknowledges the shot.
Durant shoots for a double leg takedown but Polden sprawls well. He's pushed Durant's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Polden looks to land a combination but Durant avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kris Polden dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Durant throws a poor cross that misses
and Polden counters with a three punch combo that has Durant backing up. Durant nods at Polden to acknowledge the strikes.
Polden lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Polden.
Durant misses with a left hand
and Polden counters with a left and a right that stings Durant.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Durant shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Polden sprawls well. Polden wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Durant gets slowly back to his feet.
Durant tries to clinch there but Polden circles away.
Durant shoots for a takedown but Polden saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Polden has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Durant drops his hands momentarily and Polden takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Durant seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Polden shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Durant is backing up but Polden catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Durant covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Polden Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kris Polden!
