Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenshi Zuko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zuko comes to the cage accompanied by Styx - Mr. Roboto. Davis comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Amazing Grace by The Celtic Woman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Antonio Davis acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kenshi Zuko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Davis!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis lands a slapping body shot.
Davis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zuko moves away.
Antonio Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A cross from Davis lands.
A jab from Davis does it's job there.


It looks like Kenshi Zuko has been cut.
Davis lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Zuko slips a jab from Davis.
Zuko blocks a head kick by Davis.
Davis connects with the punch.
Davis looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davis misses with a low kick.
Zuko ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Davis connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Davis looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Davis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Zuko avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Davis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zuko manages to avoid it.
Davis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zuko moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zuko moves out of range of the strikes.
Davis throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Davis connects with a solid leg kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Davis, as that shot connected.
Davis works over Zuko's head and body with a nice combination.
A looping hook to the body misses from Davis. Zuko does a little dance to reset his feet.
Zuko avoids the head kick by Davis.
Davis jabbing away but nothing is landing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Davis throws a leg kick but Zuko moved away.
Davis lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Zuko gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Davis lands a leg kick that knocks Zuko off balance momentarily.
Davis lands with a nice combination. Zuko backs away looking to recover.
Davis lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Davis pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Zuko has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Davis.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Some wild striking there from Davis.
Davis misses with the combination.
Davis throws a head kick but Zuko moves out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Davis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Antonio Davis dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kenshi Zuko's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


A punch combination from Davis misses.
Davis just misses with a punch to the body.
Zuko on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Davis misses with a kick to the body.
Davis misses with a left hand

and Zuko counters with a nice double leg into side control. Davis won't be happy with that.
Davis gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Davis really wants to buck Zuko off and get back to his feet.
Davis in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Zuko lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Davis hang on?

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zuko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Davis is looking to escape.
Davis is in all sorts of trouble here.
Zuko with a couple of short strikes.


Davis is rocked!
Zuko tries to control but Davis wriggling away.
Davis is still in real trouble! Can Zuko finish him?
Zuko lands with some strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zuko postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Davis badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Zuko around the waist but Zuko pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Zuko is the winner by TKO! Zuko jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenshi Zuko!
An out of breath and clearly excited Kenshi Zuko thanked Backyard Fighting for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
