Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mingo Deems (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bojan Vladislav (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deems throws a leg kick but Vladislav sees it coming and moves out of range.
Deems ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vladislav moves away.
Deems slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Deems getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Deems works over Vladislav's head and body with a nice combination.
Deems misses with a double jab
and Vladislav counters with a three punch combo that has Deems backing up. Deems nods at Vladislav to acknowledge the strikes.

and Vladislav counters with a nice double leg into side control. Deems won't be happy with that.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vladislav seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Deems does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Vladislav is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Deems still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Deems has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Deems throws a jab when Vladislav was well out of range.

and Vladislav connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vladislav dodges the punch combination from Deems.
We've been told by Deems's head coaches at Midnight MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Vladislav counters with a stiff right hand.

Vladislav is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Deems knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Deems is trying to control Vladislav's posture but Vladislav avoids it.

Vladislav swings around for an armbar but Deems sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Vladislav's guard.

Deems stays in close to Vladislav's body and controls the position.
Vladislav wants to sweep but no luck.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Deems wants to stand but Vladislav has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Vladislav has his feet on Deems's thighs here. He's pushed Deems off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Deems screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
