Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emmanuel Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jemal Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black connects with a jab.

It looks like Emmanuel Armstrong has been cut.

Black closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Armstrong did well to prevent Black getting side control.
Black takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Black has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jemal Black wasn't active enough on the ground.
Armstrong avoids the head kick by Black.

Black scores with a takedown into Armstrong's guard.
Black's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Black passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Black tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Black has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Black thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Black content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Armstrong parries the strikes from Black easily there. Black is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Armstrong to escape.

Black's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jemal Black wasn't active enough on the ground.

Armstrong gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Black to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Armstrong is breathing heavily.

Black shoots in and gets a takedown into Armstrong's guard.

Black stands and steps away. Armstrong gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Emmanuel Armstrong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Black rushes Armstrong and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Black wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Armstrong has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Black is trying to trip Armstrong. He has hold of a leg but Armstrong is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Black persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Black is pushing down on Armstrong's leg trying to pass to half guard. Armstrong is fighting to maintain full guard but Black has managed to sneak the leg through.

Black postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Armstrong to stand up.

Armstrong tries to clinch but Black moves out of range.

Black moves into range and clinches up with Armstrong.
Armstrong tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Armstrong jumps guard but Black turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Black manages to pull guard.
Black pulls Armstrong in close to prevent any damage.
Armstrong could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Black bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Armstrong's guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jemal Black.

Armstrong is trying to drag Black to the mat but Black just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Emmanuel Armstrong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Black wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Black is trying to force a seperation but Armstrong has the dominant position.

Black ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Black no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Black has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Black manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Armstrong manages to get himself to full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Black throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Black tries to break the clinch but Armstrong is controlling the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Black is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Armstrong is just riding it out for now. Black eventually gives up the hold.

Black is trying to work for a kimura but Armstrong is defending well.

Black thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Armstrong's head.
Black thows a huge punch but Armstrong dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Black decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Jemal Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Black throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Armstrong stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Black throws the kick towards the body but Armstrong avoids it.

Armstrong tries to sprawl but Black drives through with a takedown into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well Black has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
