Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gus Bus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Semore Butkiss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Butkiss has chosen Mama said as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Butkiss.
Bus throws a low kick but Butkiss avoids it.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Bus.

Butkiss changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Butkiss. Bus does a little dance to reset his feet.

Butkiss gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Bus swings wildly with an uppercut but Butkiss uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bus is trying to push Butkiss away but Butkiss has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Butkiss pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Butkiss lands a nice hook to Bus's body. Bus takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bus takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Butkiss's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Butkiss fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bus sprawls well initially but Butkiss persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Butkiss seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bus does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Semore Butkiss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bus fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Butkiss is out of range.

Butkiss fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bus looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Bus counters with a thumping low kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bus fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Butkiss.
Bus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Butkiss chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bus can pounce on him.

Semore Butkiss dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bus has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Butkiss dives in and grabs Bus's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bus pushes down on Butkiss's head and hops out.
Bus dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Butkiss. That did some damage!

Butkiss lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bus circles away quickly and effectively.
Butkiss takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bus.

Butkiss misses with a hook. Bus ducked under it nicely.
