The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lloyd feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lloyd really is a fat lump.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Aribiiiii can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lloyd controls the pace.
Aribiiiii throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Aribiiiii working a defensive guard but Lloyd manages to pass into side control anyway.

Lloyd has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Aribiiiii pushes Lloyd back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Aribiiiii is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lloyd to keep the fight standing.

Huey Lloyd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Iheb Aribiiiii.

Lloyd drags the fight down to the ground.
Lloyd manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Aribiiiii manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aribiiiii isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lloyd stacks Aribiiiii on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lloyd!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lloyd is on top in guard.

Lloyd tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Aribiiiii swivels and escapes.

Lloyd fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Lloyd has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Aribiiiii uses from the top position.
Lloyd might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lloyd is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Aribiiiii can do anything to dispel that myth.

Huey Lloyd overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Aribiiiii is trying to maintain the position but Lloyd is very close to passing his half guard.
Lloyd seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Lloyd is taking a breather. Aribiiiii says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lloyd connects with a nice short shot to Aribiiiii's temple.
Lloyd takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Lloyd is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Aribiiiii is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
