Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Barrett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bill Hayze!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayze swings widly with a right hand
and Barrett counters with a left to the body.
Barrett wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hayze takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
It looks like Bill Hayze has been cut.
Barrett looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Barrett keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Barrett clinches up against the cage.
Hayze lands a left hand that snaps the head of Barrett backwards.
Barrett lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Barrett tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Hayze can't find room to land a body shot as Barrett controls the action.
Barrett throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hayzes head.
Hayze tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Barrett's elbow.
Barrett tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Barrett lands an uppercut.
Barrett throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Barrett lands a hook that snaps the head of Hayze backwards.
Hayze misses with a short punch on the inside.
Barrett cracks Hayze with a nice body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hayze is looking to control Barrett's arms but Barrett gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hayze has his back to the cage.
Barrett pushes Hayze back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Barrett makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Hayze has had enough of the clinch but Barrett keeps him there for the moment.
Barrett scores with a shoulder strike.

Hayze is rocked!
Barrett creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Hayze's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Hayze drops to his knees and Barrett pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeremy Barrett!
