Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laimoninjo Bezdalinjo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laimoninjo Bezdalinjo will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ralph Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Laimoninjo Bezdalinjo!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knight gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bezdalinjo wants to pass the guard but Knight is keeping the position.
Knight could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bezdalinjo throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knight throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Bezdalinjo tries to stand but Knight is controlling from the bottom.
Knight tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Knight is working hard here to advance position.
Knight bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bezdalinjo's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Knight gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bezdalinjo to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Bezdalinjo wants to stand but Knight is controlling his posture from full guard.
Knight punching from the bottom - just letting Bezdalinjo know he's still in a fight.

Bezdalinjo gets to his feet. Knight looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Knight avoids the head kick by Bezdalinjo.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bezdalinjo enables Knight to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bezdalinjo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bezdalinjo wants to improve his position but instead Knight has moved into half guard.
Knight is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bezdalinjo is trying to control but Knight passes into side control!

Knight connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bezdalinjo some visible discomfort.

Knight thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bezdalinjo trying his best to control but Knight has mounted him.

The referee warns Bezdalinjo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Knight breaks from Bezdalinjo's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Knight looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bezdalinjo is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bezdalinjo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knight. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Knight tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bezdalinjo swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Knight wants to sweep here but Bezdalinjo controlling him for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Laimoninjo Bezdalinjo was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Bezdalinjo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Knight's guard.

Knight wants to sweep here but Bezdalinjo controlling him for the moment.

Bezdalinjo postures up in Knight's guard and throws a big left but Knight blocks it.
Knight is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Knight has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Knight is on top in guard.
Bezdalinjo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ralph Knight overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Laimoninjo Bezdalinjo has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Knight has Bezdalinjo up against the cage in a clinch.

Bezdalinjo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Knight manages to escape and get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bezdalinjo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Knight is working Bezdalinjo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Knight might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Knight throws a big elbow that misses.

Knight stands up from Bezdalinjo's guard - Knight perhaps looking for a knockout.

Knight closes the distance and clinches.

Bezdalinjo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Bezdalinjo manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Bezdalinjo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Knight doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Knight manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Knight drops back looking for a leg! Bezdalinjo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bezdalinjo manages to kick Knight off! Knight jumps back into Bezdalinjo's guard.
Bezdalinjo is looking to sweep but instead, Knight has passed into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Knight lands strikes from half guard.
Bezdalinjo wants to stand back up but Knight manages to pass into side control.
Knight lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bezdalinjo down.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Knight scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Bezdalinjo to see if he's OK.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ralph Knight showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Knight has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
