A lazy left from Thomas finds it's target.
We've been hearing reports that Thomas has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
StoneSon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Thomas to counter with a crisp jab.
StoneSon looks to land a combination but Thomas avoids it well.
Dave StoneSon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
StoneSon throws a sloppy head kick and Thomas moves out of range easily.
StoneSon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
StoneSon walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Dave StoneSon has been cut.

Thomas throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. StoneSon tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Thomas is in StoneSon's guard.

Thomas has worked his way into a potential kimura here. StoneSon is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Thomas yanks on the arm and StoneSon is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Thomas.

After the fight, Din Thomas was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
