Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Cormeir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Bakreek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cormeir's entrance music is -N- The Bay. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cain Cormeir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Bakreek!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bakreek throws a series of punches but Cormeir avoids them all with ease.
Horrible takedown attempt by Cormeir or perhaps it was just good defense by Bakreek, which made it look bad.

Nice defenses there by Cormeir.

Cormeir avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Cormeir has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

That was a close round but I would say that Cain Cormeir will probably get the nod.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bakreek's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cormeir connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bakreek scrambles back to his feet.
No luck for Cormeir with that takedown attempt.
Jeff Bakreek is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
