Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shelton Harrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Anderson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Champ is Here. Harrell has chosen Ellie Goulding - Burn as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 2, fighting out of New York, Reggie Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 17 - 3, fighting out of New York, Shelton Harrell!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Harrell on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Reggie Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harrell keeps the fight on the outside.
Anderson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Anderson misses with a low kick.

Harrell moves into range and connects with a jab.
Anderson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Anderson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Harrell has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Harrell thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Anderson's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Harrell counters by clinching up.
Harrell tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Anderson's elbow.
Harrell is looking to control Anderson's arms but Anderson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Harrell has his back to the cage.

Harrell lands with a short punch from the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Reggie Anderson will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Anderson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
