Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Olin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marlo Stanfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stanfield has chosen Up Down as his entrance music. Jack Olin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marlo Stanfield's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Olin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marlo Stanfield!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stanfield sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Olin somewhat.

Stanfield gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Stanfield wants to stand and escape but Olin is having none of it.
Olin scoring with some ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Olin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Olin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Olin connects with a nice short shot to Stanfield's temple.
Olin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stanfield does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Olin throws a strike but Stanfield rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Olin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stanfield manages to get himself to full guard.

Stanfield wants to stand up but Olin is controlling him.
Olin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Stanfield is looking to stand up but Olin isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Stanfield wants to stand and escape but Olin is having none of it.

Olin throws an elbow that misses. Stanfield uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Olin's guard. Nice move by Stanfield!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stanfield is looking to stand up but Olin won't let him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A combination from Stanfield does no damage.
Olin dives in and grabs Stanfield's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stanfield pushes down on Olin's head and hops out.
Stanfield misses with a series of wild punches.
Olin shoots in but no luck this time.

Stanfield misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Olin.

Olin drives through with a takedown into Stanfield's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Olin stops Stanfield from standing up.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Stanfield will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Horrible takedown attempt by Olin or perhaps it was just good defense by Stanfield, which made it look bad.

Stanfield rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Olin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Olin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stanfield pinned against the cage. Stanfield gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stanfield stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Stanfield fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Olin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stanfield as he avoids it easily.
Stanfield catches Olin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Olin looks for a takedown but Stanfield sprawls well.
Stanfield stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stanfield wants it to stay on the feet.

Marlo Stanfield is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stanfield misses with a jab, cross combination.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Olin.

Olin wants to take the fight to the mat but Stanfield manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Stanfield breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Olin dives in for a single leg takedown but Stanfield sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Olin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stanfield walks away with a smile on his face. Olin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Olin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stanfield.
Stanfield connects with a jab.


It looks like Jack Olin has been cut.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Olin shoots in for a takedown but Stanfield shows good takedown defense.
Stanfield shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Olin takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Stanfield sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Olin bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Marlo Stanfield!
After the fight, Marlo Stanfield was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
