Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jared Battle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Woodley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Woodley is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: No Comin' Back. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodley's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Battle connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Woodley scrambles back to his feet.
A punch combination from Woodley misses.
Woodley on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Battle. Battle obviously looking to wear him down.
Woodley fails with an attempt to clinch.
No joy there for Woodley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Woodley swings for the body but Battle moves out of range.
Battle throws a nice outside leg kick.
Battle punishes Woodley's body with a nice straight punch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Woodley has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Battle throws a half hearted mid kick.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Woodley.
Woodley takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Battle has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

A bone on bone clash there as Battle blocks the leg kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Battle cracks Woodley with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Battle has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Woodley to stand back up!

Woodley is rocked!
BAM! Battle delivers a spinning backfist that drops Woodley like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
