Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dr Gonzo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Melekh David!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzo scores with a hook to the body. David takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
David throws a hook but Gonzo blocks it.
Gonzo misses with a wild combination.
David dives in for a single leg takedown but Gonzo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Gonzo has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. David avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from David.
Gonzo misses with a punch on the inside.
David lands with a right to the head.
David throws a head punch that misses.
David tries to break the clinch but Gonzo is controlling the position.
Gonzo is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
David keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gonzo's efforts to push away.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for David.
David is looking to break free of the clinch but Gonzo has double underhooks.

Gonzo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gonzo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
David throws a leg kick which misses Gonzo's front leg but catches the back leg as Gonzo tries to avoid it.
Gonzo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gonzo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but David circles away quickly and effectively.

David changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gonzo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

David wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gonzo keeps working.
Gonzo is looking to regain half guard here but David keeps moving and retains side control.

Gonzo tries to pass the half guard into mount. David knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
David moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
David looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gonzo is one step ahead there.
David wants to hit a switch here but Gonzo passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for David there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
David wants to control but Gonzo is having none of it.
Gonzo throwing strikes here but David is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

David tries to hold on but Gonzo postures up.
David sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
David is looking for a sweep. Gonzo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gonzo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
David tries to get to full guard but Gonzo has control of the leg.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Melekh David will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

David slips a jab and a cross from Gonzo.
Gonzo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps David's head backwards.
Gonzo misses with a hook. David ducked under it nicely.
David tries a low kick but Gonzo avoids it.

David lands with a kick to the temple. Gonzo shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

David keeps Gonzo at a distance using the push kick.

David uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gonzo.

Gonzo closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

David has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

David avoids a series of strikes thrown by Gonzo.

Gonzo lands a big shot there that rocks David but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

David avoids a strike by Gonzo and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Gonzo's guard! Fantastic escape!

Melekh David showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

David takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
David tries to score with a low kick but Gonzo moves his leg out of the way.

David misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gonzo has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from David.
Melekh David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some bone on bone action there as Gonzo checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
David throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
David doesn't manage to clinch there - Gonzo circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
