The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Catchmaer swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Catchmaer counters with a big uppercut that knocks Jones off his feet! Catchmaer dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Tom Jones has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Catchmaer decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Catchmaer lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Jones falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
