PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phil Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bwang Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has chosen Stepping Razor as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bwang Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Harris moves away.
Harris scores with a jab. Jackson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Harris throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Jackson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Harris.
Harris is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jackson.
Harris tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jackson defends well and Harris ends up having to push Jackson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jackson dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Harris is trying to break the clinch but Jackson has him pressed against the cage.

Harris has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Harris wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Jackson has control of Harris's left arm, preventing Harris from doing any damage.

Phil Harris has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Harris goes for a double leg but Jackson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jackson continues to drive forward.

and Jackson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Harris takes a shot right to the bread basket.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jackson enables Harris to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jackson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jackson pulls Harris in close to his closed guard and prevents Harris from doing any damage or advancing position.
Harris passes into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Harris wants to free his trapped foot but Jackson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Harris tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Jackson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fight stays on the outside here - Harris looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jackson's coach down at Titan Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jackson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Harris will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Harris throws a body kick that misses.
Harris tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Jackson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Harris fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away.
Jackson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Jackson lands a left and a right that send Harris crashing to the mat, dazed. Jackson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Harris is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jackson moves out of range of the body kick from Harris.
Oh Harris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jackson drops Harris with a big left hand! Harris is injured, injured bad! Jackson jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bwang Jackson!
Bwang Jackson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
