PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Risto Haeyhae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enzo Galasso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Haeyhae might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Morbid Angel - Where the Slime Live. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Risto Haeyhae!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Enzo Galasso!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galasso lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Haeyhae circles away quickly and effectively.
Galasso throws a combination. Haeyhae tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Haeyhae slips a jab and a cross from Galasso.
Galasso swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Galasso avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Haeyhae definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Galasso swats away the attempt to clinch by Haeyhae.

Haeyhae manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Galasso on his heels. He'll look to pass Galasso's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Galasso looking for a guillotine here but Haeyhae defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haeyhae is pushing down on Galasso's leg trying to pass to half guard. Galasso is fighting to maintain full guard but Haeyhae has managed to sneak the leg through.
Galasso has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Haeyhae is working away from the top position though.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Haeyhae in particular looking to stall.

Haeyhae is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Galasso felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Haeyhae wants to lay and pray for a moment but Galasso keeps working.

Galasso regains full guard. Nicely done.

Haeyhae is really struggling to control Galasso but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Haeyhae is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Galasso is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Enzo Galasso will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Enzo Galasso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Galasso throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Nice combo by Galasso! Oh, that's hurt him - Haeyhae falls to the canvas and Galasso follows him into side control.

It looks like Risto Haeyhae has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Haeyhae is looking for a sweep.
Oh Haeyhae is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Galasso wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Haeyhae, who protects the arm well.
Haeyhae tries to improve position but can't.
Haeyhae knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Galasso on the ground.
