The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Figueroa lands with a shot to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Figueroa. No joy for Putski on that attempt.
Figueroa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Putski.
Putski moves in looking to clinch but Figueroa pushes him off.
Figueroa fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Figueroa lands a leg kick that knocks Putski off balance momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Figueroa connects with a leg kick. Putski looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Putski looks winded!
Putski takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Figueroa connects with a body shot that sends Putski's belly button to the back.
Putski tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Figueroa connects with a solid leg kick.
Putski drops his hands for a split second and Figueroa immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Putski face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Figueroa follows up with a right hand that knocks Putski into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kim Figueroa!
