The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcgowan gets caught napping as Stone dives in and scores a takedown. Mcgowan manages to retain guard.

Stone drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mcgowan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mcgowan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mcgowan!
Mcgowan wants to stand but Stone is controlling his arm.

Stone keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Stone moves into the clinch successfully.
Stone is pressed up against the cage. Mcgowan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stone down to the mat. Stone avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Mcgowan is fighting off a takedown attempt but Stone is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Mcgowan to the mat. Mcgowan regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Mcgowan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stone lands a couple of elbows.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mcgowan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Mcgowan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stone avoids it really well and circles away.

That's time! Mcgowan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Mcgowan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stone is fending him off so far but Mcgowan persists. Nope, Stone circles away and we're back to standing.

Mcgowan jumps guard but Stone stands there with Mcgowan around his waist. Mcgowan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Stone misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stone throws a series of punches but Mcgowan avoids them all with ease.
Mcgowan shoots in for a takedown but Stone shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mcgowan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well Stone has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
