Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Dutko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deion Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Dutko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deion Barnes !
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barnes gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dutko to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Dutko showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Barnes keeping moving, preventing Dutko from controlling successfully.
Dutko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barnes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dutko preventing the sweep.
Dutko throws an elbow that misses. Barnes uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dutko's guard. Nice move by Barnes !

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barnes 's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dutko is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Dutko throws his legs up looking for a submission but Barnes uses it to pass to side control.
Dutko manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Barnes tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Barnes looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Barnes with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Dutko wants to improve his position but Barnes is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dutko looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
My spies in Ballas Only inform me that Barnes has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Barnes not doing much here.
Dutko is looking to control Barnes 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dutko avoid being mounted?
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Deion Barnes has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Dutko looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Barnes blocks a low kick nicely.
Dutko circles away from the clinch attempt.

Barnes avoids the head kick by Dutko.
Dutko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dutko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bob Dutko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dutko pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Barnes slaps away a takedown attempt from Dutko, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dutko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dutko tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Barnes swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Dutko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barnes with a nice cross.
Dutko throws a half hearted mid kick.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Dutko fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Barnes checks it well.
Dutko looks for the body kick but Barnes saw that one coming.
Dutko takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Barnes throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dutko on the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dutko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Barnes but Barnes pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Barnes swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dutko walks into a left hand.

Dutko closes the distance and clinches.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Dutko lands a nice elbow.
I was talking to Dutko's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Dutko tries to land knees in the clinch but Barnes avoids the damage to the body.
Dutko is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Barnes is defending well for now.
Barnes lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Dutko is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Barnes lands with a right to the head.
Barnes managing to block the knees to the body from Dutko.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Deion Barnes will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A cross from Barnes lands.
Dutko has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Barnes finds it's way round the side to connect with Dutko's head.
A solid leg kick lands there for Dutko.
Barnes fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dutko on the side of the head.
Dutko takes one on the button.
Barnes jabs Dutko to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Dutko looks to land a body kick but Barnes moved away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dutko looks to land a body kick but Barnes moved away.
Dutko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Barnes is fending him off so far but Dutko persists. Nope, Barnes circles away and we're back to standing.
Dutko walks into a left hand.
Barnes connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Dutko's hands.

Barnes has closed the distance and engaged Dutko in a clinch.
Dutko gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Barnes avoids a wild elbow strike from Dutko.
A short left from Barnes .
Barnes gets through Dutko's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Barnes working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Dutko just misses with a elbow thrown towards Barnes 's brow.

Barnes dips a shoulder and cracks Dutko with a mighty uppercut! Dutko falls back against the cage and Barnes unloads with a barrage of strikes! Dutko is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Barnes screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Deion Barnes !
A relieved looking Deion Barnes thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
