The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunlap uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Silva.
Dunlap darts in looking for a takedown but Silva gets double underhooks and turns Dunlap into the cage.
Silva is trying to push Dunlap away but Dunlap has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Dunlap is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Silva pushes Dunlap back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Silva controlling the action here for a moment.
Dunlap really is a fat lump.
Dunlap drops down looking for an ankle pick but Silva pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ferdinand Dunlap. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Dunlap is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dunlap changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Dunlap manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Silva scores with a punch to the head.

It looks like Ferdinand Dunlap has been cut.
A left lands for Silva.
Dunlap takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Dunlap takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Silva with a nice cross.
Dunlap doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Silva fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Dunlap walks straight into a right hand from Silva - that's dropped him! Silva jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Dunlap from any more punishment! Dunlap complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
