Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Ragnaar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Bateman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ragnaar comes to the cage accompanied by Mustasch - Thank You for the Demon. Bateman has chosen Huey Lewis and The News - Hip To Be Square as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Patrick Bateman was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bateman swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Ragnaar takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Erik Ragnaar has been cut.
Bateman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ragnaar keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bateman.
Bateman bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
A clash of legs there as Ragnaar blocks the low kick.
A low kick from Bateman misses

and Ragnaar counters with a head kick that drops Bateman to the mat! Bateman scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bateman throws a low kick but Ragnaar avoids it.
Ragnaar definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Bateman misses with an uppercut. Ragnaar saw that one coming.
Bateman dips to his left and cracks Ragnaar with an uppercut!
Ragnaar gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Bateman tries to land a body kick
and Ragnaar counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Bateman jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bateman wants to land a leg kick but Ragnaar is out of range.
Bateman connects with a body shot that sends Ragnaar's belly button to the back.
Bateman tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Bateman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ragnaar.
Ragnaar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Bateman throws a half hearted mid kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ragnaar blocks a head kick by Bateman.
Bateman is looking to clinch.
A good leg kick by Bateman.
Bateman connects with the punch.
Bateman throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Bateman misses with a body shot.
Bateman fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ragnaar.
Bateman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Patrick Bateman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ragnaar ducks under a wild hook from Bateman.

Bateman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ragnaar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bateman paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Erik Ragnaar's cut is getting worse.
Ragnaar takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Bateman misses the jab.
Bateman lands an overhand right.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bateman works Ragnaar's body with a nice hook.
Bateman digs a good body shot into Ragnaar's ribs.

Ragnaar is rocked!

Erik Ragnaar's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Ragnaar is aggressively charging in as Bateman backs up avoiding any damage. Bateman tosses out a jab and Ragnaar runs right into it face first! Ragnaar is out cold! Bateman dropped down on all fours and is barking in Ragnaar's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Patrick Bateman!
