And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Koko!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Koko gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Koko breaks the clinch.
Diaz throws a body punch but Koko moves out of range.
Koko lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Diaz takes a swing at Koko's ribcage but misses.
Koko looks to score with a jab to the body but Diaz is just out of range.
Koko scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Diaz with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Koko to score with a decent uppercut.
Koko lands the left hand.

Koko has Diaz up against the cage in a clinch.

Diaz jumps into guard, dragging Koko to the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Diaz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Koko trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Koko wants to get up but he can't break Diaz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Koko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Koko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Koko in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Koko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Diaz wants to stand but Koko is controlling the position.

Diaz looking for a triangle here. Koko is fighting it but it looks tight! Diaz pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Koko is tapping out - this one is all over!
