The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward throws a one two combo.

Ward is trying to drag Wolter to the mat but Wolter just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Wolter just misses with a elbow thrown towards Ward's brow.
Wolter throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Ward jumps guard but Wolter stands there with Ward around his waist. Ward gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Ward. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wolter throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Ward gets control of Wolter's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ward will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

No joy there for Wolter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ward breaks from the clinch.
A lazy left from Wolter finds it's target.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ward's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Wolter connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ward scrambles back to his feet.
Wolter lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Ward can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Wolter and Ward drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Wolter.

After the fight, Jonas Wolter was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
