These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jakob Villa!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Maxiq.
Maxiq throws a big shot that misses.
Villa keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Maxiq clobbers Villa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Villa lands a nice looking kick to the body. Maxiq takes a step back to recover.
The fighters circling - Maxiq throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Maxiq throws a jab but it's blocked by Villa.
Villa lands with a kick to the ribs.
Villa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Maxiq.
Eddard Maxiq seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Villa pushes Maxiq away with a front kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maxiq sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Maxiq is breathing heavily.
Maxiq throws a jab but it's blocked by Villa.

Villa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Maxiq, pushing him back against the ropes.

It looks like Eddard Maxiq has been cut.

We've been informed that Villa has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Maxiq is rocked!
A fake to the body and Villa gets the Thai clinch. He wastes no time and tries to connect with knees to the head. This is dangerous for Maxiq! He should get out! Another devastating knee and Maxiq falls head first to the ground. It's all over!
