Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Romulo Barral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bosco Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romulo Barral could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bosco Brown's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Romulo Barral!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bosco Brown!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barral tries for a takedown but Brown circles away easily
and Brown counters with a left to the body.
Barral gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Brown counter with a right hand.
Brown keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Barral gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Brown counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Romulo Barral. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Brown is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Barral looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Brown wants to control from the top but Barral keeps moving.

Brown seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Bosco Brown has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

so Brown counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Barral looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Brown passes into half guard.
Barral wants to improve his position but Brown is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brown moves into full mount! Barral won't be happy about that!
Barral is desperately trying to improve his position but Brown has a good base and remains in mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Barral tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Barral is looking to improve his position but Brown isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Barral is working hard here to advance position.

Barral looking for subs from the bottom but Brown mounts him!
Brown connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Barral is trying desperately to improve position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Brown working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Barral is squirming around, avoiding Brown's attempts to control the action.

Brown has hold of Barral's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Barral manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Barral is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Barral is trying to reverse the position but instead Brown has taken his back - oops!
Barral wants to escape the position.

Brown keeps control of the position as Barral tries to break free.
Barral is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Warrior MMA and Fitness, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Brown controlling the position well here. Barral rolled but Brown kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barral is trying to break free.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Barral turns into Brown and is now in his guard.
Barral pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brown is keeping the position for now.

Barral drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Brown dives on top into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bosco Brown dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Barral has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Brown.
Barral fails with the takedown
and Brown counters with a straight right hand.
Brown bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Barral's head.
Barral shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Barral takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Brown counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Barral thinking.
Good standup being displayed there by Brown as he connects with a hook.
Oh Barral is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brown tries to bum rush Barral with a series of wild strikes but Barral uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Barral seems to have got his legs back now.
Barral shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Brown counters with a nice uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brown throws a monster overhand right that drops Barral! Brown follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bosco Brown!
A pretty intense looking Bosco Brown took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
