PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kolt Ganger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tor Troeng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tor Troeng!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ganger walks into a left hand.
Ganger misses with a body shot.
Ganger missing with a left hand there. Troeng was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ganger throws an overhand right that lands on Troeng's shoulder, as Troeng tries to avoid the shot.
Troeng swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A shot to the body from Ganger misses
and Troeng counters with a stiff right hand.
Ganger shoots for a takedown but Troeng saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ganger throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Troeng lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Ganger has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Outlaws Clubhouse in the buildup to the fight.

and Troeng counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ganger thinking.

Troeng thows a body shot but no joy.
Troeng takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Ganger keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Troeng has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ganger finds it's way round the side to connect with Troeng's head.
Ganger rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ganger takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ganger throws a jab but it's blocked by Troeng.
Ganger looks to score with a jab to the body but Troeng is just out of range.
Troeng uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ganger.
Troeng jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Troeng throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ganger.
Ganger takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Ganger misses with an uppercut. Troeng saw that one coming.
Troeng stuffs the takedown.
Troeng throws a right hand that Ganger ducks under and follows up with a left that Ganger also avoids with ease.
A big right from Ganger misses.
Sloppy strikes from Ganger. Those never looked like landing.
Troeng has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Troeng swats away the attempt to clinch by Ganger.
Ganger shoots and misses
and Troeng counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kolt Ganger. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ganger shoots in looking for a takedown but Troeng manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ganger's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ganger does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Troeng jabs Ganger right on the nose. Ganger blinks but takes it well.
Troeng on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Troeng moves out of range of the strikes.
Troeng ducks under a wild hook from Ganger.
Ganger wants to clinch but Troeng slips to the side
and Troeng counters with a huge left! Ganger is in big trouble! He's backing up but Troeng isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Ganger from any more damage. A dominating finish by Troeng!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tor Troeng!
A relieved looking Tor Troeng thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
