Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Beltran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Opium Opiate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Beltran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Opium Opiate!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Opiate throws a hook to the side of Beltran's head but Beltran sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Opiate ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Opiate throws a hook but Beltran blocks it.
Opium Opiate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Opiate is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Opiate moves in looking to clinch but Beltran pushes him off.

Opiate fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Beltran, pushing him back against the cage.
Beltran fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Opiate tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Beltran throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Opiate throws a lazy right hand but Beltran sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Beltran lands with an uppercut that bounces Opiate off the cage and back into range.

Opiate fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Beltran manages to avoid it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Beltran makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Opium Opiate will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Opiate tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Beltran presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Opiate is trying desperately to improve position.
Opiate looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Opiate is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Beltran.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Opiate is trying to get back to his feet but Beltran has full control of the position and if anything, Opiate has just worked his way into a worse spot.

That was a close second round but I would say that Carlos Beltran will probably get the nod.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Opiate takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Opiate trying to control the position but instead, Beltran has worked for underhooks and has pushed Opiate into the cage.

Opiate struggles to land a body shot inside as Beltran controls his hands.

Opiate takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Beltran counters with a left and a right that stings Opiate.

and Beltran counters with a three punch combo that has Opiate backing up. Opiate nods at Beltran to acknowledge the strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Opiate tried to score with a low kick but Beltran checks it.
Opiate missing with a left hand there. Beltran was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Opiate waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Beltran.
Beltran is looking to wear down Opiate with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Beltran scores with a jab. Opiate acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Opiate gets cracked there but stands up to it.

I would just about give that final round to Opium Opiate.
I think Opiate has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
