Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Galu Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ash Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Williams's choice of entrance music: Hail To The King. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Galu Li!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ash Williams!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams misses with a lunging right hand

and Li counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Li content to control rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Li prevents Williams from improving his position.

Li is working for a submission of some sort.

Li is trying to work for a kimura but Williams is defending well.
Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Li. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Williams is looking to improve his position.

Li is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Williams defends it well.

Li is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Williams felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Williams is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Li seems to be looking for submissions.
Williams keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Williams has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Li is working away from the top position though.

Li drops back looking for a leg! Williams is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Williams manages to kick Li off! Li jumps back into Williams's guard.

Williams pulls Li in close to his closed guard and prevents Li from doing any damage or advancing position.
Li seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Williams is looking to stand up but Li isn't so interested in that idea.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Li moves out of range of the body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Li misses with a takedown attempt - Williams sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Galu Li is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Li swings for the body but Williams moves out of range.

Li might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Williams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Li's guard.

Williams is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Li seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Williams keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Li's head.

Li escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Williams gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Li has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Williams can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Li wants to improve his position but Williams is controlling well.

Williams might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Li haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Williams cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Li can't escape the position.
Williams avoids the attempt from Li to control.
Li is in all sorts of trouble here.

Williams scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Li tries to lock up and control but Williams gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Williams lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Li hang on?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Li is looking to improve his position but Williams isn't that keen on the idea.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A big strike lands for Williams! That's really hurt Li and he's turned his back - Williams keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Williams jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
