PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Dobczynski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamezdin Shraf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Shraf's choice of entrance music: O.C. - time's up . The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert Dobczynski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamezdin Shraf!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shraf darts in and clinches Dobczynski up against the cage.
Dobczynski wants a takedown.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Shraf.
Shraf goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Dobczynski keeps control of Shraf as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Shraf has had enough of the clinch but Dobczynski keeps him there for the moment.
Dobczynski jumps guard but Shraf turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Shraf breaks from the clinch.
Shraf tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dobczynski was well out of range. Poor timing from Shraf.
Shraf moves in looking to clinch but Dobczynski pushes him off.
Shraf misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Shraf dives in and scores a takedown into Dobczynski's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Dobczynski keeping moving, preventing Shraf from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dobczynski is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Dobczynski's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Robert Dobczynski has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Dobczynski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shraf throws out the jab.
Shraf tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dobczynski paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jamezdin Shraf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dobczynski closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shraf to the mat! Shraf manages to get full guard.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Dobczynski is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

We're going to have a standup here because Robert Dobczynski wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shraf is trying to control the position but Dobczynski postures up.
Shraf is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shraf is on top in guard.

Dobczynski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Shraf defends well.
Shraf must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Dobczynski tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Shraf told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Shraf postures up in Dobczynski's guard and throws a big left but Dobczynski blocks it.
Shraf is fighting to break Dobczynski's control of his arms but Dobczynski is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jamezdin Shraf will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Shraf stands and throws Dobczynski's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Shraf throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Shraf postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Shraf wants to control but Dobczynski is keeping him busy.
Shraf is staying tight to Dobczynski's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Shraf wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dobczynski keeps working.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The strikes coming from Shraf are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Shraf swings around for an armbar but Dobczynski sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Shraf's guard.

Shraf sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Dobczynski doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Shraf paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Dobczynski - great work!
