Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Shephard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and B A Ware (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shephard comes into the arena with You All Everybody blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, B A Ware!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Shephard finds it's way through Ware's defenses.
Shephard tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ware swivels and escapes.
Shephard takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ware lands with a nice body kick.
Ware slaps away a takedown attempt from Shephard, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ware with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Shephard to score with a decent uppercut.
Ware tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shephard throws a body punch but Ware moves out of range.

It looks like Jack Shephard has been cut.
Ware tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shephard was well out of range. Poor timing from Ware.
Ware lands a nice looking kick to the body. Shephard takes a step back to recover.
Shephard moves away from the strike by Ware.
Ware throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Ware throws a good cross that connects.
Ware finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Shephard dives in for a single leg takedown but Ware sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Shephard tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ware wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Shephard closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Shephard lands in his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ware wants to get back to his feet but Shephard is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by B A Ware.
Ware throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Shephard's head.
Ware has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Shephard shoots in but Ware avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ware feints a jab promting Shephard to slip. Ware then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Shephard slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Horrible takedown attempt by Shephard or perhaps it was just good defense by Ware, which made it look bad.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Shephard avoids the head kick by Ware.

Shephard has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ware.

Shephard takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Jack Shephard's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Jack Shephard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shephard tries for a takedown but Ware sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Shephard throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ware counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ware lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
