Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James Kingsley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Neil Napier!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingsley on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Napier has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Napier fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kingsley on the side of the head.
Kingsley definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kingsley blocks a head kick by Napier.
Napier pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Napier throws a hook but Kingsley avoids it easily.
Kingsley uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Napier has time to react.


It looks like Neil Napier has been cut.
Kingsley throws an overhand right that lands on Napier's shoulder, as Napier tries to avoid the shot.
Napier rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Kingsley counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kingsley looking to pass the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Napier is looking to stand back up but Kingsley counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Napier.
Kingsley wants to take a breather but Napier is having none of it.
Napier tries to kick Kingsley off but Kingsley keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Napier is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Napier avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kingsley.
Napier pushes Kingsley off looking to stand but Kingsley dives back in and keeps control.
Napier won't allow Kingsley to pass to mount.
Kingsley takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Napier looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kingsley not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Kingsley is pressing down on Napier's thigh, looking to free his foot. Napier is holding on for now.
Kingsley stalling.
Kingsley throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Napier tries to kick Kingsley off but Kingsley keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kingsley trying to mount his opponent but Napier defends it.
Napier is trying to stand up here but Kingsley is controlling him well.
Kingsley throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Kingsley is taking a breather. Napier says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kingsley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Napier wants to get back to his feet.
Kingsley trying to mount his opponent but Napier defends it.
Kingsley is working hard here to advance position.
Kingsley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Napier wants to get back to his feet.
Kingsley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Kingsley is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Napier wants to try and get back to his feet.
Kingsley looking to control but Napier is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
BOOM! Kingsley connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Napier is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Napier trying desperately to get to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kingsley controlling the position easily from mount.

Kingsley lands a big shot there that rocks Napier but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Napier wants to try and get back to his feet.
Kingsley lands a nice shot to the head.


That has opened up Neil Napier's cut even more.
Kingsley working the ground and pound effectively.
Kingsley wants to control the pace but Napier is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Kingsley dominated that round.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Napier throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Donk. Napier catches Kingsley right on the button with a cross.
Kingsley uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Napier.
Decent striking displayed by Kingsley there.
Napier throws a lazy right hand but Kingsley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Napier throws a looping overhand right but Kingsley ducks down to avoid it.
Napier tries to work over Kingsley's front leg with a kick but Kingsley checks it.
Kingsley misses with a straight left.
Napier scores with a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Napier lands a big head kick that sends Kingsley tumbling to the mat! Napier takes a step backwards and waves Kingsley back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Kingsley is rocked!
Napier is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Kingsley flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kingsley is out cold! Napier holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Neil Napier!
