Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quin Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taw DawTang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DawTang has chosen Imperial March as his entrance music. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DawTang scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

DawTang tries for a kimura but Chang is defending well.

DawTang is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chang has escaped the position, nice work there.
We've been hearing good reports from Chang's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
DawTang just content to control the position.
Let's hope that DawTang has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

DawTang thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Chang tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but DawTang wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

DawTang on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Chang throws the left hand but DawTang avoids the punch easily.
Chang throws a right and a left that both miss.

DawTang shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
DawTang wants to control but Chang is keeping him busy.

DawTang seems to be looking for submissions.
DawTang has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Steel Penn/Heavy Hands Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Chang won't allow DawTang to pass to mount.

DawTang is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Taw DawTang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Chang throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
DawTang tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Chang manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Chang scores with a punch to the head.
Chang missing with a left hand there. DawTang was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
DawTang steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Chang.
Chang just misses with a punch to the body.

DawTang shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
DawTang controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
DawTang preventing the sweep.
DawTang trying to control but Chang is working from the bottom.
DawTang tries to free his leg and advance position but Chang is retaining full guard.

DawTang looking to sit in guard and control but Chang gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

DawTang is looking for a triangle but Chang pushes his legs off easily.
Chang wants to control from the top but DawTang keeps moving.

DawTang is trying to hold Chang in close to prevent damage but Chang has managed to pass into half guard.
DawTang tries to roll over but Chang keeps him under control.
DawTang is looking to control Chang's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can DawTang avoid being mounted?
Chang prevents DawTang from improving his position.
Chang wants to stand up but DawTang has a hold of him and won't allow it.

DawTang is looking for a sweep. Chang is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
DawTang moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Taw DawTang has got the better of the ground game so far.
DawTang controls Chang momentarily but Chang frees himself.

DawTang looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

DawTang working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chang doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chang manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for DawTang. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

DawTang looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chang is one step ahead there.

DawTang working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chang doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chang manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

DawTang isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Chang stacks DawTang on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Chang!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
DawTang is looking for a sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Taw DawTang really dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Chang pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nice body punch from Chang.
DawTang displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chang throws out the jab.
Chang lands a really nice looking cross but DawTang seems unphased.
Chang works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Chang ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

DawTang manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Chang on his heels. He'll look to pass Chang's guard now, I'm sure.
DawTang wants to control from the top but Chang keeps moving.
Chang is looking to stand up but DawTang isn't so interested in that idea.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
DawTang advances to half guard.

DawTang is taking a breather. Chang says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

DawTang is working for a submission of some sort.
Chang is trying to stand.
DawTang trying to control from half guard but Chang is working away.

DawTang is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

DawTang is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Chang has managed to free his arm - good work.
DawTang seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chang does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

DawTang is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Chang tries to kick DawTang off but DawTang keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

DawTang is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Chang is just riding it out for now. DawTang eventually gives up the hold.

A close fourth round but Taw DawTang will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Chang clobbers DawTang with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
DawTang moves out of range as Chang strikes.
Chang comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

DawTang won't allow Chang to pass to mount.
Taw DawTang is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
DawTang is trying to maintain the position but Chang is very close to passing his half guard.
DawTang trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Chang manages to pass to mount!
DawTang tries to hold on but Chang pushes him away.

DawTang tries to lock up and control but Chang gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Chang prevents DawTang from getting the reversal.
Quin Chang has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Chang has the hooks in. DawTang is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Quin Chang.
I think DawTang has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
