Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mose Blake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Haines!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haines pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Blake back to the cage. Haines follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Mose Blake has been cut.

Haines drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Blake wants to sweep here but Haines controlling him for the moment.
Haines wants to pass the guard but Blake is keeping the position.

Blake is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We're going to have a standup here because Mose Blake wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Haines throws a series of punches but Blake avoids them all with ease.

Haines throws a right and a left that Blake avoids nicely.

Blake closes the distance and clinches.

Haines is trying to trip Blake. He has hold of a leg but Blake is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Haines persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Haines would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Blake really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Blake makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Blake.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Haines misses with a low kick.
Haines throws a low kick, looking for Blake's leg but Blake calmly moves out of range.
Haines shoots in for a double leg but Blake sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Haines tries to score a power double leg takedown but Blake sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Haines somewhat.

Blake seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Blake manages to pull guard.
Blake seems keen to control Haines's posture.

Blake lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Blake makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Haines is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Blake's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Blake controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Blake is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Mose Blake will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Blake got a little sloppy there for a moment and Haines has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blake has managed to get both his arms back between Haines's legs - danger averted.

Blake is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Haines is just riding it out for now. Blake eventually gives up the hold.

Blake seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Haines for as long as he can get away with.

Blake wants to work for an arm triangle but Haines is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Blake takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Mose Blake has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Haines throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Blake was covering up waiting for the punch and Haines finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Blake bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Haines's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mose Blake just wasn't active enough.

Haines will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Blake dodges the punch combination from Haines.
Haines fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Haines stuffs the takedown.
Haines throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Blake.

Blake throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Haines tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Blake is in Haines's guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Haines throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Haines wants to improve his position but instead Blake has moved into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Blake slips a nice elbow through Haines's hands, connecting with Haines's forehead.
Blake blocks the strikes from Haines.
Haines wants to control but Blake is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Haines wants to get back to his feet.
Haines takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Haines is looking to control Blake's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Haines avoid being mounted?

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Haines throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Blake counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Blake is looking to clinch but Haines is avoiding it.
Haines lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Blake keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Haines will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Blake scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Blake controls the position from side control.
Blake scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Haines to see if he's OK.
Haines is trying to escape the position but Blake is controlling the position.

Blake is chipping away with strikes.
Daniel Haines has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Blake works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Blake cracks Haines with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Blake connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Haines some visible discomfort.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Blake controls the position.
Mose Blake is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mose Blake showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Blake, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
