Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Norman Barry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harry Bush has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Norman Barry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Harry Bush!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bush shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barry as he avoids it easily.

Bush gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Barry has Bush pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bush manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Barry tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Bush manages to break the clinch.

Bush dives in and scores a takedown into Barry's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Barry trying to control the position.

Barry is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Bush breaks the clinch.
Bush tries for a takedown but Barry sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Barry tries to keep at a distance but Bush has taken the fight into the clinch.

Barry jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bush walks away with a smile on his face. Barry gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Barry is trying to pull guard but Bush turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Bush pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Barry is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bush to keep the fight standing.

Bush uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bush misses with a takedown attempt
and Barry counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Bush throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Barry tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bush is in Barry's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Barry is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Barry wants to sweep but no luck.
Barry has a closed guard, preventing Bush from standing up.
Bush in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bush trying to control but Barry is working from the bottom.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Barry wants to stand up but Bush is controlling him.

Barry controls Bush momentarily but Bush frees himself.
Harry Bush has got the better of the ground game so far.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bush shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Harry Bush showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Bush closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
