Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nate Burgelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelyanenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fedor Emelyanenko will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Burgelson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Emelyanenko is fending him off so far but Burgelson persists. Nope, Emelyanenko circles away and we're back to standing.
A left and a right from Burgelson both land. Nice combination.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Burgelson throws a series of punches but Emelyanenko moves out of range.
Burgelson looks to land a left hand but Emelyanenko moved out of range nicely.

Fedor Emelyanenko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Emelyanenko bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Emelyanenko avoids a punch combination nicely.

Burgelson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Emelyanenko counters with a nice kick to the body.
A jab from Burgelson misses.
Burgelson misses with a straight left.
Burgelson tries to clinch but Emelyanenko moves out of range.
Burgelson shoots for a double leg takedown but Emelyanenko sprawls well. He's pushed Burgelson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Emelyanenko enables Burgelson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Emelyanenko manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Emelyanenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burgelson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Burgelson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Burgelson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Emelyanenko is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Burgelson drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Burgelson seems to have locked his on tight now - Emelyanenko screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Burgelson, as he picks up the win!
