Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nate Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Spezza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kingston comes to the cage accompanied by 2pac - I'm Soulja. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Nate Kingston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Spezza!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spezza throws a lazy right hand but Kingston sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Spezza dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kingston. That did some damage!
Spezza tests Kingston's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The fighters circling - Kingston throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kingston shoots in looking for a takedown. Spezza tries to sprawl out of it but Kingston keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Spezza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kingston is trying hard to land a takedown here. Spezza sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A head kick by Spezza misses

and Kingston counters by moving into the clinch.
Spezza tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kingston avoids it.
Spezza avoids a wild elbow strike from Kingston.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kingston.
Kingston is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Spezza breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Spezza lands a head kick. Kingston smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


It looks like Nate Kingston has been cut.
Spezza pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spezza tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Spezza tries a head kick but it misses.
The crowd cheers as Spezza lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kingston doesn't seem phased though.
A nice inside leg kick there by Spezza. That's going to slow Kingston down.
Spezza's coach down at Nights Watch MMA Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Spezza's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kingston is trying hard to land a takedown here. Spezza sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nate Kingston. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Spezza throws a body shot but no joy.
Spezza wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kingston throws a solid leg kick but Spezza takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kingston.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Spezza jabs at Kingston's body.
Spezza connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spezza rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kingston moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kingston avoids the head kick by Spezza.
Spezza fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Spezza jabs at Kingston's body.
Spezza lands a nice hook to Kingston's body. Kingston takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Jason Spezza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kingston shoots in for a takedown but Spezza shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Spezza tries to work over Kingston's front leg with a kick but Kingston checks it.
A swing and a miss from Spezza.

Spezza connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kingston's hands.
Kingston misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Spezza thows a body kick. Kingston tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Spezza stuffs the takedown attempt from Kingston. Kingston gets slowly back to his feet.
A good leg kick by Spezza.
Spezza pushes Kingston away with a front kick.
Spezza jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Spezza connects with a high kick.
Spezza thumps Kingston with a low kick.
Spezza throws the left hand but Kingston avoids the punch easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Spezza rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kingston moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kingston ducks under a wild hook from Spezza.
Spezza misses with an uppercut.
Spezza dips to his left and cracks Kingston with an uppercut!
A good leg kick by Spezza.
Spezza throws a half hearted mid kick.
A left and a right from Kingston both land. Nice combination.
Spezza misses with a low kick as Kingston jumps back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Spezza throws a poor cross that misses
letting Kingston counter with a right hand.
Kingston walks into a straight right hand from Spezza.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Spezza dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Nate Kingston's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kingston takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Spezza lands a body shot.
Spezza does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Spezza throws a head kick but Kingston moves out of range.
Kingston fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Spezza manages to avoid it.
Spezza connects with a looping right hand.
Spezza lands the left hand.
A bone on bone clash there as Kingston blocks the leg kick.
Kingston slips a straight right by Spezza.
Kingston defending well as Spezza loads up on a big left hand.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kingston. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Kingston on the wrong end of a nice jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Spezza connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Kingston drops his hands momentarily and Spezza takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.


Kingston is rocked!
Spezza feints a jab and as Kingston dips his head, Spezza unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Kingston right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Kingston falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Spezza smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jason Spezza!
Jason Spezza very nearly forgot to thank Vandal Fight Boutique & Laundry amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
