Van Steyne tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Van Steyne.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Van Steyne throws out a loose jab but Silva uses good head movement to avoid it.
Silva takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Silva fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Van Steyne is out of range.

Silva closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Van Steyne tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silva smiles and moves away.
Van Steyne tests Silva's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nice straight punches there by Van Steyne. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Van Steyne.
Van Steyne missing with a left hand there. Silva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dougie Silva will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Van Steyne! Silva is out on his feet! Van Steyne rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Silva is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Silva is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
