The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Thomas looks to score with a jab to the body but Tymchynovski is just out of range.
Thomas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tymchynovski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thomas but Thomas pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Thomas gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Tymchynovski looks calm but he's in trouble here. Thomas gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Tymchynovski is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Thomas lets go of the hold and Tymchynovski can pop his arm back in it's socket.
