Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Helix Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wicked Sick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cabrera comes to the cage accompanied by Sparzanza - Follow Me. Wicked Sick will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been hearing reports that Cabrera has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Wicked Sick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sick just misses with a punch to the body.
Cabrera misses with an uppercut. Sick saw that one coming.
Cabrera shoots in for a takedown but Sick shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Sick fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cabrera looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

That kick from Cabrera tenderised Sick's leg. Sick is trying to keep his angry face on.

Cabrera tries to bum rush Sick with a series of wild strikes but Sick uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Cabrera decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sick's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cabrera has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sick wants to sweep but no luck.

Sick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cabrera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

After the fight, Helix Cabrera was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
