Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Xav Danger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Gates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danger kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Danger. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Xav Danger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Gates!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gates fails to land the takedown.
Danger closes the distance and clinches up with Gates, looking for a takedown. Danger pushes Gates against the cage but Gates circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Danger slaps away a takedown attempt from Gates, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Gates looking to score a takedown here. Danger is defending well but Gates drives through and ends up in Danger's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Danger changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gates looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That was a close second round but I would say that Xav Danger will probably get the nod.

Danger got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gates has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Danger has managed to get both his arms back between Gates's legs - danger averted.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Danger, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
