The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mehmet fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mehmet on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
It looks like Djemal Mehmet has been cut.
Polden connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mehmet's hands.
Mehmet shoots in looking for a takedown. Polden tries to sprawl out of it but Mehmet keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Polden manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mehmet tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mehmet is breathing heavily.
Polden fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Polden throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Polden lands a two punch combo.
Mehmet is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Polden closes the distance and pushes Mehmet back into the cage.
Oh Mehmet is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Polden escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mehmet seems to have got his legs back now.
Djemal Mehmet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Polden forces Mehmet back against the cage and clinches.
Polden lands an elbow inside.
Mehmet wants to break free but Polden has control.
