Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

30 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kim Figueroa!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Figueroa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Putski misses with a takedown attempt - Figueroa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Figueroa feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Putski's calf.
Putski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Figueroa sprawls well initially but Putski persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Putski is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Figueroa defends it well.
Putski looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Figueroa is looking to improve his position.
