Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thai Muay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hamish Gaffney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Hamish Gaffney!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Chris Dean and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muay throws a head kick that misses.
Muay instigates a clinch.
Muay is trying to stall.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Muay.
Muay lands a nice elbow.
Muay lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Muay using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Muay tries to land a knee to the head but Gaffney blocks with his arms.
Gaffney told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Muay is working Gaffney over against the cage.
Gaffney is looking for a takedown.
Gaffney has Muay pressed against the cage.
Gaffney tries to break the clinch but Muay is controlling the position.
Muay manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Gaffney blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Muay tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Gaffney wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Muay throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gaffney blocks it with crossed arms.
Gaffney gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Muay regains guard.
Gaffney stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Muay swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Muay looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Gaffney with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Muay on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Muay tries to get out of the position.
Gaffney throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Muay works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Muay is looking to stand up but Gaffney isn't so interested in that idea.
Gaffney wants to control from the top but Muay keeps moving.

Muay is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Great Bash Heel that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Gaffney won't allow Muay to get back to his feet.
Muay had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gaffney defends it easily.
Muay is looking to stand up but Gaffney isn't so interested in that idea.

Muay is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Muay wants to get back to his feet but Gaffney is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Muay wants to stand up but Gaffney is controlling him.
Gaffney working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Muay's head.
Muay has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Gaffney off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Muay lands with a kick to the ribs.

Muay takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Muay tries to clinch up.
Gaffney blocks the body kick.
Gaffney throws a shot from downtown. Muay moves away and avoids it.
Muay wants to clinch up but Gaffney keeps it at a distance.
Muay misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gaffney misses with a double jab.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gaffney swinging wildly here.
Muay tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gaffney manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Muay scores with a jab to the body.
Muay throws a head kick but Gaffney moves out of range.

Muay on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Muay throws a head kick that half lands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gaffney tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Muay swivels and escapes.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Muay misses with a few strikes there.
Gaffney closes this distance looking for a takedown but Muay circles away.
Thai Muay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamish Gaffney.
Gaffney blocks a head kick by Muay.
Gaffney throws a jab but it's blocked by Muay.
Gaffney has a takedown stuffed.
Muay misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thai Muay is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Muay throws a hook but Gaffney avoids it easily.
Gaffney gets tackled into the cage by Muay. Muay maintains the clinch.
Muay connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Hamish Gaffney has been cut.
Muay avoiding damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Muay using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Gaffney has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thai Muay dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Hamish Gaffney's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Muay stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Muay wants it to stay on the feet.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Muay! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Thai Muay thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
