Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ayrton Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Fadden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fadden has chosen I Will Be Heard by HATEBREED as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ayrton Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Fadden!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fadden misses with a jab, cross combination.

Lewis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fadden was covering up waiting for the punch and Lewis finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fadden utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Lewis looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Lewis wants to control from the top but Fadden keeps moving.
Lewis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ayrton Lewis wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Fadden throws a right and a left that Lewis avoids nicely.

Lewis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Lewis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fadden napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lewis is looking to take a break and control but Fadden is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Fadden pushes Lewis away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lewis gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Fadden is trying to get back to half guard.
Fadden really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lewis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fadden is trying to maintain the position but Lewis is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fadden lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Lewis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Fadden counters with a right hand to the body.
Fadden checks the leg kick nicely there.
Fadden lands with a thumping leg kick.
Lewis takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Fadden will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No joy there for Fadden, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
John Fadden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Lewis drives through with a takedown into Fadden's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Fadden swings for the body but Lewis moves out of range.

Fadden has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lewis after a bit of a struggle.

Fadden has Lewis pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Fadden pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lewis tumbling to the mat - Fadden dives into Lewis's guard.

John Fadden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Fadden tries to close the distance and clinch but Lewis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lewis goes for a double leg but Fadden avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fadden continues to drive forward.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fadden can do anything to dispel that myth.

Fadden has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lewis is working away from the top position though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Lewis's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lewis is hanging on to Fadden's back as he tries to escape.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ayrton Lewis.
I think Lewis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
