PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommaso Baroni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abed Nadir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nadir has chosen M.A.S.H Theme as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Abed Nadir was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nadir lands with a slapping head kick.

Baroni takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Nadir throws a jab but it's blocked by Baroni.

Baroni gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Baroni seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
Nadir has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Baroni after a bit of a struggle.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Nadir has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Baroni is pressed up against the cage. Nadir has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Baroni down to the mat. Baroni avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Baroni lands a left and a right that send Nadir crashing to the mat, dazed. Baroni thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Baroni cracks Nadir with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Baroni has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Nadir to stand back up!
