The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
A jab lands there for Petrov.
A slapping body kick lands there for Burczynski.
Petrov misses with a looping right.
Burczynski fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Petrov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Burczynski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Burczynski showed some decent athleticism there.
Petrov actively working from the bottom here.

Petrov wants to control but Burczynski is keeping busy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Petrov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Petrov wants to take his opponent's back but Burczynski doesn't allow it.
Petrov goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Burczynski is on top in guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Burczynski scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Petrov is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Burczynski has his hands clasped together but Petrov extends and breaks Burczynski's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Petrov.

A relieved looking Kirill Petrov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
