Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adan Leonard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Caden Hardman!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hardman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Leonard to the ground. Hardman is now in Leonard's guard.

Hardman stands and steps away. Leonard gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Leonard tries for a takedown but Hardman circles away easily

and Hardman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hardman forces his way into half guard.
Hardman is looking to take a break and control but Leonard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Leonard has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hardman is working away from the top position though.
Hardman with the ground and pound but Leonard uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Hardman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hardman wanted to stand there but Leonard had control of the position.
Leonard trying to keep a closed guard but Hardman is proving a slippery customer.
Hardman makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hardman wants to stand but Leonard has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Hardman pushes down on Leonard's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Hardman takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Hardman is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hardman is just content to waste time from the top position. Leonard takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Hardman throws a strike but Leonard rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Leonard controlling from the top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Leonard throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hardman works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Leonard prevents Hardman from getting back to his feet.
Hardman is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Hardman wants to get back to his feet but Leonard is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hardman misses with a double jab

and Leonard counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Leonard.
Leonard is trying to maintain a safe position but Hardman gets an underhook and turns Leonard into the cage.
Leonard tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Hardman as Leonard tries to tie him up.
Leonard fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Stalling in the clinch from Leonard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Leonard manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Leonard has momentary wrist control but Hardman slips an elbow through the middle.
Leonard keeping full guard, as Hardman tries to pass.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Caden Hardman dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Leonard tries to sprawl but Hardman drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Hardman tries to stand and escape but Leonard is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hardman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Hardman seems to be working for a kimura but Leonard defends the submission attempt.

Leonard actively working from the bottom here.
Hardman is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hardman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Hardman not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Hardman looks to land a strike but Leonard avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Leonard not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Leonard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Leonard pushes a forearm under Hardman's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hardman is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Adan Leonard!
