Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronny Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anthony Pettis !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronny Bell!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bell looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bell controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Pettis throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Pettis is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bell trying to control but Pettis is working from the bottom.
Bell slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Pettis is trying to improve his position.

Bell tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bell has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bell goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pettis rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bell's guard! Nice work there by Pettis !
Pettis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Pettis trying to control the position from guard on top but Bell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Bell looking for a sweep. Not yet Bell, not yet.

Bell is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pettis defends well.

Bell wants to sweep here but Pettis controlling him for the moment.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bell holds on and takes a little breather.

Pettis is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bell is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bell has escaped and now he's on top!

Pettis working for a triangle but Bell defends it easily.

Pettis looking for a guillotine here but Bell defends easily.

Pettis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bell passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bell is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Pettis has escaped the position, nice work there.

Bell working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Bell is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pettis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Pettis tries to improve position but can't.
Pettis is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Pettis works his way to full guard. Good work.
Pettis can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bell controls the pace.

Bell drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Pettis has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bell should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Pettis has tightened it up now! Bell should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
