Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diaz Bros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Levi King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King has chosen Lou Reed - Perfect Day as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diaz Bros !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Levi King!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King drives through with a takedown into Bros 's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

King drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bros manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now King has Bros in his guard.

King is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bros defends well.
Bros trying to stand up but can't free himself from King's guard.

Bros got a little sloppy there for a moment and King has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bros has managed to get both his arms back between King's legs - danger averted.

Bros avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

King working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bros doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bros manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

King has his foot on Bros 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bros works his way back into a safe position though.

King looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Our spies down at at Die Reeperbahn inform us that King has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Bros controls from within his opponent's guard.

King looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Bros passes into side control.
King tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bros wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bros decides to stand back up. Bros steps back and let's King get back to his feet.
King lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.


It looks like Diaz Bros has been cut.
Levi King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bros checks a low kick from King.
Nice jab there from King.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bros connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed King momentarily.
King takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
King avoids the head kick by Bros .
King throws a body punch but Bros moves out of range.
A head kick misses from King.
King throws out a loose jab but Bros uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bros lands a nice looking body shot.
King misses with a left hand

and Bros counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

King misses with an elbow over the top.
Bros landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Bros misses with a short punch on the inside.
King managing to block the knees to the body from Bros .
King lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
King fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

With the fighters up against the cage, King throws an elbow but misses.
Bros lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
King throws a punch but it's blocked by Bros .
Bros trying to land knees to the body.
Bros takes an elbow to the forehead.
Bros working aggressively here.
King gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
King misses with a hook from the clinch.
Bros scores with a shot to the side of King's head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
King throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
King looks to throw an elbow but misses.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
King misses with a lunging right hand

and Bros counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Levi King dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Diaz Bros 's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bros checks a low kick from King.
King stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.


Diaz Bros 's cut is getting worse.
Bros avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
King dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bros scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Bros lands a nice leg kick that just misses King's sensitive parts.
Bros looks to score with a jab to the body but King is just out of range.
Bros wants to clinch.
King drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Levi King seems to be getting the better of the standup.
King circles away from the clinch attempt

and King counters with a single leg into guard. Bros didn't expect that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bros keeping full guard, as King tries to pass.
Levi King has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King is looking to work some ground and pound but Bros has wrist control.
King passes Bros 's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

King is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bros doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time King.
King wants to free his trapped foot but Bros is holding on for dear life with his legs.
King throwing shots but Bros is blocking nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King wants to pass the guard but Bros is defending well.
King is looking to take a break and control but Bros is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

King has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Bros defend it? King steps over the head and cranks it - Bros is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for King!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Levi King!
An out of breath Levi King thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
